The 1st International conference and exhibition ENERGY. INDUSTRIAL ELECTRONICS & ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING was held 16-18 April 2008 in Moscow, World Trade Center for directors of enterprises and technical specialists.

The exhibition and conference were organized by INCONEX Ltd. Official support: Committee for industrial development of Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Russian Academy of Sciences.

In the welcome statement to the participants and visitors of the exhibition "Industrial Electronics & Electrical Engineering 2008" V.M. Platonov, the chairman of the Committee for Industrial Development of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry noted: "Up-to-the-minute industrial technologies based on the achievements of electronics and electrical engineering give a new impuls to the development of executive systems and infrastructure of Russia. In this respect the exchange of advanced experience between the scientists and experts of the sector and consolidation of domestic business undertaking become the main elements of successful industrial development."

Zhores I. Alferov, Nobel Prize Laureate in his address to the exhibitors stressed the following: "The development of information technologies in the modern world has the crucial importance for the economic progress of the country and society. I am sure that conducting specialized international forums is the most effective way of establishing and strengthening patrnership and long-term international relations. Specialized exhibitions attract attention to the most current issues of the sector, they contribute to consolidation of specialists' efforts on the path to their rational solution."

In the first day of the exhibition honorary guests took part in the opening ceremony:
Vladimir Ya. Yurteev, Senior expert of the Committee for Industrial Development of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Vladimir I. Babkin, Responsible secretary of the Interfractional Deputy Union "Science and High Technologies", State Duma RF.
Victor A. Reznichenko, Chief for communication of the Railway Department, Ministry of Defence RF.
The guests wished all the participants and visitors of the exhibition every success in establishing new business contacts and developping technical, scientific and commercial cooperation.

The exhibition profile includes two main product categories: electrical engineering and industrial electronics.
Up-to-date scientific elaborations were presented at the exhibition by such companies as: Moscow State Institute of Electronics and Mathematics (Technical University), OJSC "Zavod Proton-MIET", "Saturn", "Rodnik", "Integral" etc.
Among the exhibitors there were over 60 enterprises involved in the area of innovation technologies and companies specialised in supplies of high tech equipment: RITTAL - the world leading supplier of case equipment and distributuin cabinet; "Baku Transformers Plant" - leader in manufacturing electrotechnical products, such as dry and oil transformers, complete transformer substations, stabilizers; CJSC "Overtime" supplier of electrotechnical products such as: ALFRA - tools and manufacturing bus bars & metal sheets; RITTAL - industrial enclosures & installation equipment; KNURR - technical furniture; RIX - metal core drilling machines; PHOENIX CONTACT - industrial automatic & electical techniques; KIESLING - automatic machinery for drilling, tapping and milling on cubicles and enclosures; EDS+ Ltd. - supplier of electricity accounting systems and devices; OJSC "Teplodom" - developper and manufacturer of electric heating units and many other companies - suppliers of high tech equipment.

Alongside the exhibition the business program was held. In its frameworks the specialists had a great opportunity of discussing the most current issues concerning the development of up-to-date technologies and get the detailed information about technological peculiarities of implemention and exploitation of high tech equipment.

In the frameworks of the business program the following events were carried out:
April, 16 - Conference "Creation of monitoring centers in the aspect of stable development of regions, solving current problems of resource saving and rational exploitation, amelioration of citizens' quality of life and security"
Organized by: "Chief Council Constructors" Association, incorporated with: "Scientific and Innovation Association", Committee for Industrial Development of the Russian Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Committee for Scientific and Technical Innovations and High Technologies, with the official support of Interfractional Deputy Union of the Russian State Duma "Science and High Technologies", incorporated with Russian Ministry of Regional Development.

April, 17 - Conference "Industrial design in electrical engineering: from idea to production"
Organized by: Center for Industrial Design Development ORGANICA Industrial.

The ceremony of handing memorable diplomas to the exhibitors was held in festive atmosphere. In the first day the evening cocktail party was held in the honor of opening the exhibition.

Over 2 500 specialists from the leading industrial enterprises attended the exhibition during three days of its work.
