The 3rd International Exhibition and Conference "Mobile and Wireless Technologies", a key event for managers and technical specialists in the area of advanced info-communication, computer and radio electronic technologies, was held in Moscow, World Trade Center on November 27-29, 2007
Organizer - exhibition company Inconex Ltd, representative of Moscow Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Official support: Federal agency for industry, RF CCI Committee for industrial development, Inter-fractional deputy union (IDU) "Science and high technologies".
In his address to participants of the forum deputy manager of Federal agency for industry Yury Ivanovich Borisov specifically underlines that "Development of advanced technologies is the priority and strategically important national task. Dynamic scientific and technical progress in development of electronic technologies is one of the governing factors of world society electronization process".
In the judgment of Head of RF CCI Committee for industrial development Valery Mikhailovich Platonov: "High technologies … govern the social and economic welfare of our society, contribute to transfer of the country's economics onto first-rate technological level. I am sure that annual holding of exhibition "Mobile and wireless Technologies" will give a new impulse to development of national science and industry, scientific and technical cooperation of Russia with other countries, and, in the end, will contribute to improvement of welfare of all Russians".
The Nobel Prize laureate, vice-president of Russian Academy of Sciences (RAS) and head of IDU "Science and high technologies" Zhores Ivanovich Alferov, addressing to participants of the exhibition, stressed that: "actions of such level in many aspects contribute to joining of specialists, propaganda of advanced technologies and development of national industry".
Innovation products were presented at the exhibition by 100 enterprises and scientific centers from various regions of Russia and 7 foreign countries. Advanced Russian scientific developments were presented by such companies as: Institute of Radio Techniques and Electronics of RAS (Moscow), Constellation Concern (Voronezh), Sibsvyaz (Omsk), Moscow microwaves (Moscow), Constraction bureau MARS (Novosibirsk), Institute of Network Technologies (Saint-Petersburg), Infinet (Moscow) and many others. Among foreign participants were AITIA International Inc. (Hungary), UAB "TELTONIKA" (Lithuania), Alnar UP (Belarus), KLINKMANN (Finland), Radio Information Technologies (Ukraine), DIGI International (USA), Alvarion Ltd. (Israel) and others.
On the first day of the exhibition a press-conference was held, in which specialists of leading enterprises of the industry, as well as representatives of branch and general information editions took part. Announcement about the exhibition activities was made as well in TV-programs "Business Moscow", "Business news of Siberia region".

Speaking on behalf of legislative power, Dines Igor Yurievich proclaimed the indices of development of wireless wide-band networks, specifically underlining that advanced wireless and mobile technologies are relevant and essential to Russia. Also he touched some problems of legislation and legal regulating in the area of wireless technologies, issues of radio frequencies distribution, as well as the state programmes.
Evgeny Borisovich Lisitsyn stated the extraordinary relevance of the exhibition topic and the fact that it fully reflects the concept of "hyper-connectivity". According to this concept after several years already one can expect the multi-million connecting of various devices to wireless and mobile networks all over the world.
Pokrovsky Ivan Alexandrovich drew attention to vast potential of wireless technologies development in Russia.
Degtyarev Filipp Borisovich, who made the next speech, noted about some particular features of bar code utilization.
Anticipating conference "Development of WiMAX in Russia", Portnoy Sergey Lvovich said about the structure and activities of WiMAX Forum association, as well as revealed some tendencies in WiMAX technologies development. In particular, he noted that this technology in future will contribute to significant decrease of traffic cost for many users all over the world.
At ceremony of exhibition opening, addressing participants and visitors of the exhibition, Nikitov Sergey Apollonovich - First deputy director of RAS IRE, correspondent member of RAS, doctor of sciences, professor, in his speech noted the rate of wireless and mobile technologies development. Thus, in the beginning of 90-s it was scheduled that the number of mobile communication users in our country by 2005 will reach about 500,000 users, but today the number of users is over 50 mil., and this emphasizes once more the high necessity in use and application of wireless and mobile technologies.
Melnikov Oleg Nikolaevich - doctor of economic sciences, professor of Bauman MSTU, wished all the participants and guests of the exhibition luck in establishing new business contacts and development of scientific, technical and economic cooperation, emphasized that "mobility" itself is the main condition of economics development.
Participants of the exhibition traditionally presented the wide spectrum of innovation wireless and mobile technologies application:
Equipment for networks of wideband wireless access were presented by companies Alvarion, Dateline, InfiNet Wireless, Nortel Networks etc.
Wireless user access to Internet and phone communication - Phone Company Sotcom JSC, R.M. Telecom etc.
System integration - Sedicom, Teleincom-PC etc.
Software - SoftLine, AITIA International etc.
Satellite communication - Teltonika UAB.
Automation systems, wireless facilities for data exchange, remote management and control, Ì2Ì solutions were presented by companies: Simmetron, Institute of Network Technologies, Klinkmann, RTD-Universal, High-technology systems etc.
Possibilities of automatic identification, RFID systems application in logistics, transport management, control of access, warehousing, payments and banking systems were presented by companies Galaxy, Vital Electronics, West-El, MicroEM etc.
Navigation systems, telematics, online monitoring of mobile and stationary objects: Andromeda-Center, Analytic TelecomSystems, Helix Wireless Systems, Shtrih, Radio Information Technologies, REC, Euromobile, Macro Group, Digital Angel.
Professional radio communication, security systems - Radioterminal, Radial, Eltech, Sibsvyaz, Constellation Concern etc.
Instrumentation - Analytic TelecomSystems, Elix, etc.
At the booth of Constellation Concern JSC one could familiarize oneself both with new developments - equipment of fixed wireless access "Vector - Ì", and with the products that already well showed themselves: wideband noise-protected HF/VHF/UHF radio station "Taiga"; portable radar of millimeter range for detection of on-ground low-speed targets "Berkut"; portable SB radio station "Quartz N".
Macro Group Company presented a range of novelties, among which it is convenient to note GLONASS/GPS - antennas (in particular, antenna-amplifying device 2JGLO05 intended for use in automobile navigation equipment systems) manufactured by 2J antenna. As the example of their use a GLONASS/GPS-receiver ÌÍÏ-Ì3 (intended for determination of current coordinates, height, speed and time by signals of satellite navigation system GLONASS, GPS and SBAS (WAAS, EGNOS) of national manufacturing was also presented.
High-technology systems Company within the framework of the exhibition presented its own platform MeshLogic for development of wireless sensory networks. New wireless modules for quick deployment of testing versions of MeshLogic wireless sensory networks were presented. Besides that, samples of OEM-modules that can be directly built into users' terminal equipment were presented. At the booth of the company capabilities of MeshLogic utilization in systems "smart house" and in tasks of automated accounting of water consumption for housing and utilities infrastructure were demonstrated.
Group of companies Simmetron presented new models of debugging boards (SIM300CEVB KIT, SIM508EVB KIT etc.), GSM/GPRS - modules, transformers, strain sensors, programmers, adapters and many other products at its booth.
New products of Helix wireless systems LLC were represented by such products as:
- Ethernet data and signal register Helix-3LAN;
- Radio extender of serial port Helix-RLAN and router for organization of distributed network for data transfer via radio channel, Helix-RR;
- Digital camera for connecting to controller Helix-2 and transfer of JPEG-images to data server via GSM/GPRS channel, Helix-CAM.
Vital Electronics Company presented the latest products of world leaders in manufacturing of RFID systems, which are used today in warehousing, transport management, control of access and many other areas, at its booth.
Tancher - electronics design presented at its stand the realized projects: GSM/GPRS premium smart-phone Mago; GSM/GPRS communicator for teenagers Enigma messenger.
Digital Angel Company presented new repeater technologies Shyam Telecom for expansion of cellular network coverage. These technologies are notable for application transparency and versatility for all ranges and their combinations, namely, EGSM, GSM, DCS, iDEN and UMTS.
AITIA International Inc. (Hungary) presented software for cellular communication operators, GSM and GPRS signaling network monitoring (associated signaling channel No. 7, Sigtran), roaming testers for check of communication of all roaming partners.
DIGI International - modern equipment and services for development of solutions for connecting electronic devices to 3G GSM/CDMA, ZigBee, Wi-Fi and Ethernet networks.
At the days of exhibition work there was a rich business programme, within the framework of which conferences, seminars, presentations and reports of the companies were held, and among them:
Conference "Telecommunication and computer technologies in realization of programme "State complex interactive system of life support of RF Federal territories". "Legislative leaderships in the area of high technologies of the country's radio electronic complex, intellectual property", organized by Committee for industrial development and Committee for science and innovations of Russian Federation Chamber of Commerce and Industry, Inter-fractional deputy union "Science and high technologies" of State Duma of RF, together with "Association of enterprises of national telecommunication equipment manufacturers", "Council of Chief Designers";
Seminar "Automated identification: use, solutions, prospects", organized by Automated identification association UNISCAN \ GS1 RUS\ AIM Russia;
Conference "Development of WiMAX in Russia", organized by WiMAX Forum Association, Sedicom CJSC;
Within the framework of business programme the following companies made their presentations: Vital Electronics, EFO, Rainbow Technologies together with Radiocrafts (Norway), PetroInTrade together with FSUE NIIMA PROGRESS, Euromobile together with Siemens, etc.
During the three days of exhibition operation it was visited by more than 5,000 specialists from all Russia, CIS countries and far-abroad countries.
Within the framework of competition programme organizers noted with memorable diplomas the following companies: Euromobile LLC - for active participation in exhibition, EFO LLC - for active participation in business programme, Eltech LLC - for original architectural solution of the booth design. Ceremony of memorable diplomas handing was carried out at the ceremonial evening in honor of the exhibition opening.
