The key event in the area of nuclear power, electrical engineering and power machinery construction – the 5th International conference and exhibition ATOMIC ENERGY & ELECTRICAL ENGINEERING. POWER MACHINERY CONSTRUCTION 2009 was held 11-13 November in Moscow, Expocentre. The 3rd International exhibition Energy. Industrial Electronics & Electrical Engineering 2009 was held alongside.

Science 2005 the International conference and exhibition “Atomic Energy & Electrical Engineering. Power Machinery Construction” has become the traditional business platform for cooperation between specialists, demonstrating the high potential of the nuclear power sector.
Aim of the exhibition and business program: strengthening and development the commercial and scientific-and-technical cooperation, interregional and international cooperation between the specialists of nuclear power sector and numerous partners from adjacent sectors.
The leading industrial companies, large scientific and producing companies from all over Russia, CIS and other countries presented their products at the exhibition.
S.A.Obozov, General Director of Energoatom Concern pointed out: “International exhibitions are events of tremendous significance in promoting cooperation between experts in various innovative high technology sectors of industry, energy and other related sectors. Development of science and technology and manufacturing capabilities of the energy sectors has already brought excellent results, and these traditions must be kept up on the way to further goals. Annual meetings of researchers and industrialists help facilitate the achievement of this goal.”

President of Russian Academy of electro technical sciences, I.B.Peshkov stressed the following: “Today, one of priority tasks facing the domestic industrial and power-generating complex consists in consolidation of the efforts of experts of high-tech sectors of industry, in solving the tasks of energy supply, energy efficiency and energy-safety. I am confident, that alongside with developments and achievements in the field of nuclear power engineering, special attention of experts at the exhibition will be attracted by the exposition on the subject of ''Energy. Industrial Electronics and Electrical engineering”
At the first day of the exhibition the press-conference was held, specialists of the leading home and foreign enterprises of the nuclear power sector took pace in it, as well as the representatives of Russian and foreign branch and information editions and information TV cannels such as: RBC TV, DTV and others.
About 200 leading enterprises of the sector presented their products at the exhibition “Atomic Energy & Electrical Engineering. Power Machinery Construction 2009” and “Energy. Industrial Electronics & Electrical Engineering 2009”. Among them there are leading companies from Russia, CIS and other countries.
The exhibition profile includes 3 main product category: atomic energy, electrical engineering and power machinery construction.
The exhibitors provided the information about the equipment, devices and materials for nuclear power industry and electrical engineering, control and measuring systems, industrial automation, communication systems, radiation control devices, diagnostic equipment etc.
The leading home production enterprises and scientific centres presented their high tech elaborations. Among them: Atomtechenergo, ZIO-PODOLSK Machine-building plant, Russian Research Centre Kurchatovsky Institute, Power Machines, Energomash, NII Teplopribor, Elemer, NIPOM, Group HMS, HYDROMASHSERVICE, Troitsky Electromechanical Plant, Kolomensky zavod, Blagoveschensk Valves Plant, ELSIEL, Science and Technology Center ElectroTcentroMontazh and many other enterprises.
Among the international participants of the exhibition and the business program: AWS Schafer Technologie GmbH (Germany), Benning Power Electronic (Germany), Loeser GmbH (Germany), Telatek (Finland), Radiy (Ukraine), Trubostal (Ukraine) and other companies from different countries.
In the frameworks of the exhibition the business program for specialists was held.
Conference «Power machinery construction: tendencies, development, prospective» was moderated by G.G.Olkhovsky, Executive Director of ''All-Russian heat engineering scientific research institute'', member of the Russian Academy of Science. The reports by V.A.Sidorenko, RRC Kurchatovsky institute, corresponding member of the Russian Academy of Science; Saraf B.A., Chief research officer of All-Russian scientific-research and design-development institute for nuclear power machinery construction; Kolesnikov A.V. Technical Director of Izhorskie zavody; Nikolaenkov N.A., deputy chief constructer of Power Machines and many other reports were made during the conference «Power machinery construction: trends, development and prospective».
Conference «Power engineering-problems of development» included the reports the leading engineering companies: Engineering center of EES; EnrgoStroyEngineering, EMALYANS, E4 Group, Engineering Center EnergoAuditControly, Industrial-investment company ENERGOTRAST and others. In the frameworks of the conference the specialists discussed the main questions of development power engineering in Russia.
Conference «Automated Control Systems of Technological Processes» was allowed professional to share ideas and see the latest achievements, which will contribute to the quicker implementation of high-tech methods.
Over 3 000 specialists from 110 cities of Russia, and 8 countries visited the exhibition during the three days that it was open.
