The second "Atomic Energy & Electrical Engineering. Power Machinery Construction" International Exhibition and Conference, a key event for experts in the field of nuclear power, electrical engineering and power machinery construction was held in Moscow, World Trade Centre on October 10-12, 2006.
The exhibition and conference were organized by INCONEX Ltd, the representative of Moscow Chamber of Commerce.
The exhibition supported by Federal Atomic Energy Agency ROSATOM, ROSENERGOATOM, Federal Department of Ecological, Technological and Nuclear Control, and Russian Society for Non-Destructive Testing and Technical Diagnostic RSNTTD.
Sergey Kirienko, Head of Federal Atomic Energy Agency ROATOM, pointed out:
"Nuclear power is one of the major sector of the modern Russian economy. Successful and dynamic development of the nuclear power industry and construction of new power facilities are two of the key conditions of the further consistent growth of our economy. This makes the development of power machine building even more important.
I am sure that the Moscow exhibition attended by over 150 companies from many countries of the world will show new achievements in the nuclear power and electrical engineering industries and help its participants establish new contacts and exchange useful ideas.

Obozov Sergey, General Director of Concern ROSENERGOATOM addressed the exhibition participants:
"The main goals nuclear power industry currently deals with are as follows: improvement of equipment in order to ensure higher operating safety and efficiency, extension of useful life of the existing nuclear power stations, creation of new facilities and innovation stocks. No doubt, these meetings at the exhibition in Moscow and further work will help specialists strengthen business contacts, exchange experience, expedite promotion of the most attractive projects, processes, and equipment, i.e. of all the best things created by academic science."

In her address to the participants and guests of the exhibition, Natalia Arkhipova, Director of INCONEX Ltd Exhibition Company said: "the main goals of the exhibition: ensuring business cooperation of specialists, creating favorable conditions for the development of regional and international relations, establishing business contacts between developers and manufacturers of equipment with potential consumers, attracting attention to new engineering development, and familiarizing specialists with new technologies and achievements in the area of the nuclear power industry, electrical engineering and power machinery constriction."
Representatives of the leading industrial publications, as well as general-purpose information publications and TV-news canals (RIK Vesti, RBC, Russia Today and other), took part in the press conference that was held on the first day of the exhibition.
More than 150 companies from all over the Russia, the CIS countries, Germany, France, Switzerland, Finland, USA and other countries presented their products at the exhibition.

The exhibition participants familiarized visitors with equipment, instruments, and materials for the nuclear power industry, systems for measurement, control and industrial automation, telecommunications devices and systems, equipment for radiation monitoring, devices for diagnostics of equipment, etc.
The exhibition was divided into three large sections: atomic energy engineering, electrical engineering and power machine construction.
The Atomic Energy section offers mock-ups, real life models, and presentation materials on topics: atomic power plants, remote and robot-technical maintenance systems, materials and goods non-destructive testing equipment, radiation control devices, APP safety equipment and materials, treatment of solid, liquid, gaseous and radioactive waste, ecology and nuclear safety.
Electrical Engineering section presented: electrical machines, devices, automatic machines, and electrical equipment for energy manufacturing and transmission, power electronics, electrical engineering and electromechanical elements and components, electricity transmission equipment, measuring, control, diagnostics, management and automatic control systems.
The Power Machinery Construction section includes boiler and heat-exchange equipment, steam, hydraulic and gas turbines, pumps, engines, and energy-saving systems.
The exhibition's business program was of great interest to experts all throughout its working schedule. Within the framework of the international conference, held at the exhibition, its participants discussed urgent problems and issues, concerning industry development, and the following reports were presented:
